“Namasté am See”. Fit, Flow, Fly Retreat. Social Media Event support.

“Namasté am See” is a campaign and touristic program run by the Wörthersee tourism board in order to foster yoga retreats, classes and vacations around the lake of Wörthersee throughout the year. The main goal is to make the region more attractive to new and younger civil groups and to extend the touristic seasons.
Each year several yoga retreats are beeing organized in cooperation wit local and international partners – the “Fit, Flow, Fly retreat” was one of them.

Create awareness about the retreat on social media shortly before, during and after the event. Produce high quality images for social media and web usage. Create a consistent aesthetic throughout the duration of the retreat that can be followed afterwards. Build up a small community of interested people and create interaction and conversation with followers.

Traveling to the retreat. Taking pictures and gather first hand impressions. Share Images on Facebook and Instagram 3x a day.

Images

A set of 300 edited pictures has been created to cover all important happenings and moments throughout the retreat. They then served as content for all social media channels during the retreat and later also for further web usage. The gallery displays a small selection of the images.

Facebook.

3 posts a day included a morning impression, an inspirational text and a photo gallery of the day in the evening.

 

Instagram.

The channel was taken over by me, some days before the retreat in order to establish a consistent image that was then continued with first hand content from the retreat.  The result of this channel take-over was a long-term cooperation for Instagram.

Web usage after the event.

Anna from Poschstyle used some of the pictures I created during the event to illustrate her  blogposts connected to the “Fit, Flow, Fly retreat.”

Impact.

The Wörthersee tourism board aims to promote the region as a destination for yoga and health stays in order to increase wellbeing and health during the stay. They closely work together with local hotels and yoga teachers in order to promote local assets.
