Faces of Marrakesh

Street photography on a personal trip to Marrakesh, portraying people and moments in a spontaneous, natural way. Focussing on faces and emotions of locals in order to capture the upfiltered image and emotions of the city.

We on purpose avoided any touristy place and spend hours strilling trough the more local souks, having conversations with locals and getting to know the city – a vibrant, loud, dirty, crazy but absolutely stunning and beautiful place.

Impact

As a tourist in another city, one has the chance to ignore a whole culture. This photo series is ought to show that any place is not filled by what we expect from advertisements – but it is filled and built with the people that live there.
